FGA members clean up for World Wetland Day

Field & Game Australia celebrated World Wetlands Day by giving back to the environment around Baillieu (Richardson's) Lagoon State Game Reserve.

The clean-up team consisted of FGA members representing Bendigo Field and Game Inc., Echuca Moama Field & Game, Seymour Field and Game Inc., Geelong Field and Game, Kyabram Field & Game and Wodonga Albury Field And Game.

Combined they contrubuted 65 hours of vulunteer labour and collected and disposed of 15 cubic meters of rubbish.

Most of the rubbish collected was bottles washed into the lagoon during recent floods but they also found tents, tyres and even a rear axle left in the bush.


The day was also attended by Shooters and Fishers Party Member for Northern Victoria Daniel Young MP and Member for Murray Plains and Leader of The Nationals Peter Walsh MP
