South Australia committee votes to retain game bird hunting in 2024 and beyond!

Marking a milestone in wildlife management and responsible hunting, commonsense has prevailed and the South Australian parliamentary inquiry into game bird hunting has recommended a continuation of game bird hunting in that state.

This decision to continue a regulated hunting season into 2024 and beyond is a testament to the positive influence responsible hunters have on wildlife management.

The committee made a total of 11 recommendations, some more workable than others; more details will follow once we have fully considered these recommendations.

Importantly, this decision not only recognises the value of ethical hunting practices but also highlights the importance of active, science-based management of our natural resources.

We applaud the dedication and commitment of responsible hunters who, through their actions, demonstrate a deep respect for nature and its inhabitants.

This is a win not just for the hunting community, but for conservation efforts and outdoor recreation as a whole. It shows that when we work together, respecting both the environment and sustainable practices, we can create a harmonious balance that benefits all.

Let's continue to support and advocate for responsible hunting, ensuring it remains a key part of our wildlife management strategies. Together, we can make a lasting positive impact on the natural world around us!

Here's to a future where nature and responsible human activity thrive side by side
